Episodes of Starlite has been selected to be presented at the 14th Videonale at Kunstmuseum Bonn.

A prevaricating installation of two video works using the television mini-series format to disturb factual and fictional visual representations of contemporary professionalism. A professional code of conduct dependent on a range of social, cultural, economic and creative factors.

Mark von Schlegell will screen the film Episodes of Starlite by Frances Scholz, a cinematic exploration of his fantasy novel Starlite (2011), co-produced by Cosima von Bonin.

MOCA invites you to a screening of Episodes of Starlite, a five-film series directed by artist Frances Scholz, adapted from a 2011 cycle of stories by Mark von Schlegell. Episodes of Starlite inverts archetypes of the fantasy genre and art history, from the points of view of gender, art, and pure film-making.

A conversation with Frances Scholz, Mark von Schlegell, and Julia Scher, moderated by MOCA Curator Bennett Simpson, will follow the screening.
